Every year the National Coalition Against Censorship poses a challenge to the youth of America by asking a provocative question about free speech, to be answered in the form of a short film (4 minutes or less), for the chance to win $1000 and a trip to New York City.

We have received an incredible response. Youth from every corner of the nation - Maine to New Mexico, Oregon to Florida, Hawaii to Oklahoma - have responded with music videos, documentaries, animation, experimental forms, fictional narrative, and old-fashioned propaganda reels.

From these submissions, the NCAC staff selects a small group of semi-finalists to be sent to a distinguished panel of judges to choose the top three. The winners are then invited to attend NCAC's annual Gala in New York City to accept their awards and have their films screened.
