Censorship on Campus

Free expression at college isn't guaranteed.
College campuses are often hot spots for debate on art that may be considered "obscene", protest that may be considered "inappropriate" and professors who are considered "too biased". College administrations fear repercusssions from the community, parents, alumni and donors and cut newspaper funding, cover up artwork and monitor Facebook profiles.

We are putting together a list of incidents on campuses that affect college students' right to free expression. If you have seen censorship and want to know what to do, or just want to report it, you can contact us at ncac@ncac.org.
